Hi! I’m Lily. I want you to know a little secret about me.
I’m normal.
Uh, what? By normal I mean this.
When I think of food bloggers, I think of untouchable people who have found the recipe for success. Cooking anything from flan to flank steak is a seamless process for them. They never mess up. All their ingredients start out in cute little jars that are already all perfectly measured out, ready for a photo shot.
Life is not like that, right? At least mine’s not.
I make mistakes. Things spill, I add way too much thyme to a soup, and sometimes things come out looking not quite so like the picture.
But sometimes, things turn out looking great. I’m here to celebrate both, by showing you just how the recipes I followed actually turn out. And to show you how to make my own.
I’m also here to take you all around Orange County, LA, and sometimes San Diego and tell you the places you should definitely follow me to, and the places where you’d be better off just eating at home instead. I’ll be completely honest with you. The messy stuff won’t be hidden just because it looks bad in a picture. That doesn’t mean I’m not going to give you good content. It just means I won’t be hiding in the land of perfectionism.
I want to make, create, explore, and be real. I’m tired of an internet realm where we travel off and scroll, making us wonder if our lives actually suck, because we’re comparing them to the things we’re seeing. Those things aren’t real.
Let’s be real. And let’s eat!
